There’s a moment when you walk into CRAVE Food Hall that you realize this isn’t just another place to eat; it’s a place to linger.
Located inside OS1515 Downtown on Government Street, CRAVE feels like a natural extension of downtown Ocean Springs itself — creative, communal and quietly confident. It’s the kind of space where you can stop in for breakfast, stay for lunch, return for dinner and somehow still find a reason to order dessert or another cocktail before heading home.
CRAVE is the first food hall of its kind on the Coast, and it is notable not just for the number of concepts under one roof, but for how thoughtfully each one is executed; think eight chef-driven kitchens, an indoor-outdoor cocktail bar, live music on weekends and a layout that encourages both connection and flexibility; families, friends, date nights, mixers and solo diners all fit here without effort.
MAWÍ TORTILLAS
Led by Chef Wilfredo Avelar, whose work has earned national recognition, Mawí Tortillas brings serious culinary credibility to CRAVE. The menu draws from Central American traditions while highlighting Gulf Coast ingredients, and it shows in every bite. Birria tacos arrive rich and comforting. The pupusas are warm and satisfying, while the baleadas and Honduran-style tacos feel both authentic and accessible. This is food that respects tradition without feeling precious about it.
SHORELINES COASTAL KITCHEN
Just steps away, the Shorelines Coastal Kitchen menu leans coastal and indulgent in the best way. Deviled eggs topped with fried Gulf shrimp set the tone immediately. A fried Louisiana oyster BLT balances crunch, brine and richness. Crispy calamari, a coastal cobb salad loaded with Gulf shrimp and apple-smoked bacon, and rotating specials like seafood platters, New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp and jambalaya make this a spot you’ll want to revisit often.
GRIT & CO.
For Southern comfort with a modern edge, Grit & Co. by Chef Todd Reilly delivers in a way that feels familiar, but elevated. Breakfast is served daily starting at 8 a.m., making it an easy morning stop, but the menu works just as well later in the day.
Creamy smoked Gouda grits, slow-simmered red beans with smoked sausage and a bright shrimp panzanella honor Gulf Coast tradition without weighing you down. Vegetarian options like grits and greens are thoughtfully done, and heartier choices like the steak melt or chicken-salad sandwich strike that perfect balance between indulgent and satisfying.
CHICAGO 6ix
Chicago 6ix brings a completely different energy, and that’s part of what makes CRAVE work so well. Created by the owner of local favorite Smoke ’N Hoagies, this concept is all about bold, comforting flavors. Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches and personal pizzas feel unapologetically craveable. It’s big-city flavor with small-town soul, and it fits seamlessly into the mix.
MISO-SIPPI ASIAN BISTRO
MISO-SIPPI Asian Bistro is where Asian culinary traditions meet Gulf Coast flair. Sushi, pancit, fried rice and shareable appetizers make this a fun option whether you’re dining solo or ordering a little bit of everything for the table. One of the most delightful details is the presentation. Plates are decorated with eel-sauce lettering and finished with a purple dendrobium orchid bloom. It’s thoughtful, playful and makes the food feel like an experience rather than just a meal.
THE BURGER BAR
New to the lineup is The Burger Bar from Chef David Dickensauge, and it’s already living up to its name. Smash burgers with crispy edges, sliders, loaded fries, cold-smoked wings and even chicken-and-waffles burgers make this an easy crowd-pleaser. It’s casual, satisfying and perfect for lunch, late nights or when you’re dining with a group that can’t agree on just one thing.
PROOF COCKTAIL BAR
Tying it all together is PROOF Cocktail Bar, the social heartbeat of CRAVE. Equal parts casual and refined, PROOF focuses on craft cocktails and thoughtfully crafted mocktails, lending it a welcoming vibe whether you’re drinking or not. The space invites you to sit back, slow down and stay awhile — especially on weekends when live music fills the food hall.
THE DISTRICT COFFEE COMPANY
The District Coffee Company adds a grounded, familiar rhythm to the food hall experience. Serving Ocean Springs since 2018, The District focuses on doing coffee really well: quality beans, thoughtfully prepared espresso and drinks like a mocha latte or classic brewed coffee that feel consistently comforting. It’s the kind of place you gravitate toward without overthinking it, whether you’re starting your morning or taking a pause between meals. Their slogan says it best: “Do what makes you happy.” And honestly, going here makes me happy.
WHERE VARIETY MEETS INTENTION
What stands out most about CRAVE Food Hall isn’t just the variety, although that alone is impressive. It’s the way everything works together. You can order easily from your table via QR code — breakfast from one kitchen, sushi from another and cocktails from the bar — and somehow, it all feels cohesive. This spot is ideal for families with different tastes, groups of friends or anyone who wants options without sacrificing quality.
CRAVE isn’t trying to be trendy for trend’s sake. It feels intentional, rooted in place and built for the way we live and eat on the Gulf Coast: slowly, socially and with appreciation for good food and good company.
If you haven’t been yet, consider this your nudge. And if you have, you already know: CRAVE isn’t a one-time stop. It’s a place you’ll keep coming back to — craving something new each time.
