Founded in 2018 by licensed general contractor and U.S. Army veteran Calvin Stevenson, SE Custom Homes & Renovations began as a small, family-owned renovation company with a bold vision. What started as light remodeling projects across the Gulf South has since evolved into a premier custom home building firm—trusted for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and reputation for bringing dream homes to life.
Calvin’s journey into construction wasn’t traditional. A proud New Orleans native, he holds a degree in Criminal Justice, trained as an electronic technician, and served honorably as a disabled U.S. Army veteran. Along the way, he built several successful businesses, but his true passion and focus has always been residential construction.
Today, SE Custom Homes specializes in projects of all sizes and budgets, with a strong focus on high-end custom builds across the Mississippi Gulf Coast and surrounding areas. Known for their ability to bring warmth, structure, and Southern charm to every build, SE Homes continues to raise the bar in the luxury home market. When he’s not managing job sites or working with clients, Calvin enjoys fishing, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, and hosting family and friends. He is happily married, the proud father of three beautiful daughters, and dog dad to two toy poodles. Deeply rooted in faith, family, and community, Calvin brings that same heart to every home he builds.
