2022 Fashion Forecast: Get ready to move

I’m so excited that 2022 is right around the corner! This means new clothes, new trends and lots of new opportunities to switch up your style. This new season of life should be all about dressing up and having fun. Last year, we experienced some challenging times, to say the least, and many of us lived in comfy loungewear as we worked and studied from home.

Now that the world has largely reopened, we can go all out. When you are clothes shopping this season and beyond, find pieces that are fashionably you — or if you’re feeling bold, step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

As restricted as the pandemic had us for many months, it’s only right that the latest trends evoke a feeling of movement. Expect to see a lot of clothing with fun, whimsical elements like tassels, trims and feathers that exude a sense of energy and give you a boost of confidence as you’re out and about.

Take this fun, faux-fur-fringe trimmed coat from Macy’s for example. Not only does the color give pumpkin spice vibes, but it’s also super fashionable. I guarantee that heads will turn wherever you go.

Seeing feathers enter the mix for the end of the year and beyond gives me all the best vibes. Feathers just scream fun! I love that I’m noticing them in ordinary, yet unexpected, places, like the edges of a blazer or the cuffs of a dress.

Even if you love dabbling in trends, don’t forget that the key to a great wardrobe is to purchase clothing that will last you for years to come. I love outfits that you can transition for the next occasion or event with some subtle styling tweaks. Have fun with your wardrobe this holiday season and into the new year!
