With an event lawn overlooking the 18th green of the Pine golf course, The Club at Diamondhead provides a dramatic backdrop for all sorts of celebrations.
“For weddings, we have hosted small family gatherings to large receptions/dinners with 200-plus guests,” says Mikayla Capps, banquet manager for the venue. “Our clients include corporate groups, Mardi Gras balls, golf tournaments and other social events.”
Capps explains that the club is part of the Diamondhead Property Owners Association Inc., a nonprofit established in 1970 to manage, operate and maintain the community amenities, which include two 18-hole championship golf courses, nine hydra-clay tennis courts, Latitude 30 Patio and Grill, The Oak Room, banquet/meeting space and more.
“Our banquet space is an integral part of our amenities,” Capps says, “and we welcome the public.”
The Club’s 5,000-square-foot Emerald Ballroom can be divided into three sections, with Emerald 3 featuring a stage and built-in dance floor. Whether a host wants an indoor or outdoor party, the venue can accommodate up to 250 guests and provide special features like the event lawn and gazebo.
Capps says for weddings, the venue’s chef and banquet manager will work with couples to develop their ideal menu. From a bridal brunch to a lavish, five-course dinner, she adds, “we are prepared to deliver.”
“Our goal is to help our clients celebrate life’s special moments with each of the weddings and events we host,” Capps says. “We do this by providing flexible event space that works with the needs and desires of the bride, excellent customer service and our extensive event-planning knowledge.”
