Kicked-up the cocktails cool summer heat: Summer Cocktail Guide

Summer Cocktail Guide

With the salty breeze in the air and warm sunshine on your face, you know that summer is here, and it’s time for flavorful beverages! Based on your preference, you can always add ingredients or take some away, but shake things up a bit and incorporate fresh fruits for a traditional-to-tropical conversion. Just taste and adjust as you go, and don’t forget the one key ingredient that ties it all together: ice… lots and lots of ice! Here’s a list of our favorite summer cocktails. Cheers!

Sangria

What’s not to love about a pitcher of red wine, brandy, fruit juices, apples, oranges, and more? If white wine is your fave, try white peach sangria.

Mojito

Mix light rum, sugar, lime juice, club soda, and muddled mint in a tall glass of ice, and it will taste like you’re sipping on summer.

Strawberry Daiquiri

This frozen berry concoction is definitely a poolside favorite, especially when garnished with that little paper umbrella. And, don’t forget her tasty sidekick: the piña colada!

Margarita

Whether served on the rocks or as a slushy delight, when you combine tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a salt-rimmed glass, it’s happy hour somewhere!

Lemonade

When life gives you lemons, make a fabulous beverage! The options are endless: lemonade with blueberries, vodka and fresh mint sound mighty nice.

Party Punch

Big backyard barbecues and big-batch beverages just work! Break out the punch bowl and try a pineapple-orange-mango combo with ginger ale and some Southern Comfort.

Cuba Libre

Shake up your rum and coke and add a touch of fresh lime juice for an invigorating and tasty change to this traditional favorite.

Pimm’s Cup

Invite this gin-based British favorite to your next party! It’s a refreshing spirited fruit cup full of strawberries, lemons, oranges, cucumbers, mint, and ginger ale.

Beer

If you’re a beer lover and need a good summer thirst quencher, mix raspberries, bottled beer, frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, and vodka and garnish with lemon and lime slices.
