Blown by Oliv Arés Haus of Glam is Biloxi’s first-ever blow-dry bar. Here, you won’t find cut and color stations, but you will find a one-stop destination with a menu full of glamorous pizzazz to give you a blowout that makes you look and feel beautiful.
So, what exactly is a blowout? Well, chances are once you have one, you will be back for another, and another, and so on.
“This is not your ordinary blow dry,” says Teri Kang, operations manager at Blow. “From the moment you step into our salon, you’ll notice that we do things a little differently. Starting with a relaxing shampoo and scalp massage, our stylists will determine the best products for your hair’s needs…. Then, using the highest-quality boar bristle brushes and the most technologically advanced blow dryers, our highly trained stylist are able to smooth, volumize, twirl, flip, and create the best blow dry you have ever experienced.”
Of course, one of the many perks of a blowout is it beautifully combats the frizz caused by our coastal humidity. Blown’s proprietary blow-dry techniques and specialty hair-care lines are designed for humid climates to ensure that lustrous look year round.
Typically, it takes about 45 to 60 minutes to complete depending on length and texture, and a blowout will last at least two days to a full week of voluminous life.
You also can add an innovative treatment such as “hair botox” – an ultra-nourishing straightening technology for healthier, smoother and polished hair that last up to 12 weeks. Another treatment is called the Volcano, which is the future of deep conditioning. High-tech ionic micro mist steam gently hydrates, replenishes, and rejuvenates the hair.
Although blowouts are the signature service, staff at Blown includes specialties who provide a number of services such as full-service makeup, facials, body treatments, brow shaping, lashes, custom spray tans, and much more.
One feature at this one-of-a-kind beauty locale is the Lash Bar. Did you know there is such a thing as “lash perms” – as in semi-permanent method of lifting the lashes? This of it this way: You could basically ditch the lash curler for up to two to three months!
