If you’ve stepped outside lately on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, you already know — this summer is HOT.
Between the blazing temperatures and humidity that feels like you’re walking through soup, outdoor workouts can go from productive to miserable in a hurry.
The good news? You don’t have to sacrifice your fitness goals just because Mother Nature is showing off. Whether you’re working out at home, in the gym or squeezing in movement during a lunch break, these indoor workouts will have you sweating for the right reasons.
1. POWER-WALK INTERVALS
No fancy equipment needed. Walk briskly for one minute, then recover for one minute. Repeat for 20 minutes. It’s simple, effective and beginner friendly.
2. FULL-BODY STRENGTH CIRCUIT
Grab dumbbells or resistance bands or just use your body weight. Combine squats, lunges, push-ups and rows for a 25-minute muscle-building session.
3. DANCE CARDIO BLAST
Turn on your favorite playlist and move! Fifteen minutes of dancing can boost your heart rate while feeling more like fun than fitness.
4. PILATES CORE FLOW
Strengthen your core, improve your posture and increase your flexibility with a 15-minute Pilates routine. Your abs will thank you tomorrow.
5. EMOM SCULPT WORKOUT
“Every-minute-on-the-minute” workouts keep things moving. Perform an exercise for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds, then repeat for 12 minutes.
This summer, remember: water first, ego last. You can still get stronger, leaner and healthier without battling the Gulf Coast heat. Sometimes the smartest workout is the one you take indoors.
HOT WEATHER WORKOUT RULES

- Use a fan or air-conditioned space when possible.
