Spring is a time when we start anew and that means spring’s 2018 must-have trends are upon us.

Everything thing old is new again on the New York and Paris spring runway shows. The color of the moment — wait for it — is ice cream pastels. Yes, they’re back. And I don’t know about you, but this trend is not for everyone. Just imagine yourself in bubble gum pink, soft mint green, lavender and soft yellow.

Vogue calls these colors “ice cream girl.” Well, this is one girl that will choose one of these baby pastels and wear it as a blouse or tank under a jacket, or pair a pastel dress with the other popular trend, which is denim. Yes, denim refuses to die and it’s back with a vengeance. Recycle that denim jacket and update it by wearing both trends together.

Enough about pastels. The big news is…are you ready? Plastics! Yes, like the famous line from The Graduate, “I have one word for you, plastics.” Karl Lagerfeld sent models down the runway in plastic rain hats, hooded capelets and cap-toed PVC boots for the Chanel 2018 Collection. This fashion girl loved it!

You can go online to check out the Chanel show, which was opened by Kaia Gerber. Yes, that’s right, the daughter of Cindy Crawford.
