Galentine’s Day has quickly become one of my favorite celebrations of the year. There’s something special about gathering the women who make life brighter and creating a space that’s all about laughter, connection and joy.
Whether you keep it simple or go all out on the details, here’s how to host a Galentine’s Day gathering that your friends will talk about all year long.
SIGNATURE SIPS: CREATE A COCKTAIL AND MOCKTAIL BAR
Create a signature cocktail and mocktail so everyone has something festive in hand. Think pink lemonade spritzers, bubbly rosé, strawberry mocktails or a sparkling cranberry-lime refresher. Add cute garnishes like sliced strawberries or heart-shaped ice cubes to make it feel extra fun.
GIRL-POWER PLAYLISTS ONLY
Music is a must. Build a playlist full of girl-power anthems and let it run all night. Mix in favorites from every era so there’s always a song your friends want to sing along to. The soundtrack sets the tone: uplifting, confident and joyful.
MAKE YOUR OWN GALENTINE’S CARDS
I also love incorporating a craft. Making Galentine’s Day cards is sweet, nostalgic and meaningful. Set out cardstock, markers, stickers, ribbon and glitter glue, and watch everyone’s creativity take off. Handmade notes often become keepsakes long after the night ends.
CREATE A FUN PHOTO OP
Every great party needs a photo opp. One of my favorite DIY projects was creating a giant heart out of cardboard and red tissue paper. It became the ultimate backdrop for group photos and silly moments. Add props like heart-shaped sunglasses, feather boas or handwritten signs, and you’ll have memories captured forever.
PIZZA WINS EVERY TIME
For food, keep it cozy and simple. Pizza never disappoints and makes hosting easy. Add a salad or dessert board and call it done.
FLOWERS AS DECOR AND FAVORS
Fresh flowers also add warmth to the room and double as favors that guests can take home. Mini bouquets are a sweet touch.
LAGNIAPPE: A CHARM BAR OR PERMANENT JEWELRY
Plan an activity that feels a little indulgent, too. A charm bar or permanent jewelry artist is always a hit, letting guests create something personal to remember the night. If that’s not in the budget, a DIY charm-making station is just as sweet.
INVITE THE WOMEN WHO MAKE LIFE BRIGHTER
Most importantly, invite your best friends and the women you’d love to get to know more deeply. Galentine’s Day is about filling the room with people who inspire, support and uplift you. When the vibe is relaxed and the intention is connection, the night naturally becomes something truly special.
