‘A Christmas Story’: Holiday classic comes to life at Beau Rivage

Join Ralphie Parker on his iconic quest for the ultimate Christmas gift from Dec. 12-27

Brush off your Red Ryder BB gun and break out your leg lamp — “A Christmas Story” is coming to Beau Rivage faster than you can say “fra-gee-leh.”

The musical, which runs from Dec. 12 through 27, is just one way the Beau is spreading holiday cheer this season. From its awe-inspiring Christmas décor to live entertainment and visits from Santa, the Biloxi venue is offering a full schedule of holiday fun through the New Year.

A CHRISTMAS CLASSIC COMES TO THE STAGE

“A Christmas Story,” produced and directed by internationally known Las Vegas producer Jeb K. Rand, president and executive producer of Rand Productions, brings to the stage the tale of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the perfect Christmas gift: an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Based on the beloved holiday movie and best-selling book, the production features world-class actors, singers and dancers — as well as six children chosen from a regional casting call.

All the iconic scenes from the film are represented, from the leg-lamp award and bunny suit to Ralphie’s friend, Flick, getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole. Underscoring the action are a range of original numbers, including, “Ralphie to the Rescue!”, “A Major Award,” “Sticky Situation,” “Up on Santa’s Lap,” “Somewhere Hovering Over Indiana” and the inevitable “You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out!”

“At its heart, ‘A Christmas Story’ captures something deeply universal: the mix of nostalgia, humor, and longing that defines childhood — especially around the holidays,” Rand says. “Every generation can relate to being a kid with one big wish, dreaming of that perfect gift and navigating the small triumphs and embarrassments of family life.”

“A Christmas Story ” VIP Package; Based on the motion picture “A Christmas Story,” distributed by Warner Bros., written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark.
